From La Cantina's authentic Italian fare and the freshly caught dishes of Le Pêcheur to The Morning Glory's health meals, the modern African cuisine of Sansibar and Bramble Lodge's selected dinner menu of locally-sourced produce, Fancourt's cuisine is a gourmet's delight.  

The 3 bars and a golfer's halfway house offer lighter meals for guests on the move.  A range of Fancourt Original and Executive Chef's Range products including jams, pasta and sauces are for sale in the Deli.   

• La Cantina is located in the historic Manor House and serves traditional Italian cuisine in a warm Mediterranean atmosphere.  Popular Sunday lunches are served from 12:30 in La Cantina.

• Le Pêcheur, Situated in the Clubhouse along the Hall of Fame, specializes in freshly prepared seafood dishes in a relaxed open-kitchen setting.

• Bramble Lodge is located next to The Links Clubhouse and offers relaxed intimate dining of global fusion cuisine - a combination of flavours from the world over, using a variety of spices, herbs, flowers and locally grown produce to create a daily changing menu.

• Sansibar is situated in the Manor House and serves modern African cuisine representative of a host of African countries.

• Morning Glory situated in the Health Spa overlooking the first tee of the Quteniqua Course and serves light healthy meals made from fresh local ingredients.

One hundred and forty years have passed since Henry Fancourt White built Blanco House in the hamlet at the foot of Outeniqua Mountains, the mountains, which today form the backdrop to the Fancourt Estate. Through the building of the Montagu Pass the seeds were sown for the building of a family home which would become the heart - and later the soul - of the Fancourt Estate.

The South African Home - now the Manor House in the hotel portfolio - is still recognizable amid the ambitious developments that have surrounded it over almost 150 years. The old home may no longer be the heart of the busy estate, but it has certainly retained its soul. Spend some time in the stillness of the garden, lounge and walk along the quiet passages. The Fancourt Leisue Trail
The Fancourt Leisure Trail consisting of two distances, 1,9 or 6 kilometers has been designed specifically with the needs of the outdoor trainer in mind. Consisting of a wide variety of contours, the trail provides both a challenge for the serious enthusiast or a more leisurely approach for the amateur. So whether running or walking you will have the opportunity to nourish body and soul while enjoying the Resort's scenic beauty.
For those with more energy, mountain bikes and backpacks are available for hire, and there is plenty of horse-riding in the region.

Equestrian
The Riding Center is based on the eastern side of the George Riding Club grounds. It offers outride in the forests surrounding the beautiful Garden Route Dam. Flowers and birds are abundant and you may have the luck to see the occasional bush back or loerie.
The Riding Center offers rides of different lengths and standards. Champagne breakfast rides are available and this could include non-riders or family members.

Bird Watching
The Garden Route is famed for its accessible bird watching. The presence of varied and contrasting habitats in the area ensure over 200 different species of birds, the most well-known being the Knysna Loerie and the Nerina Trogon.

Golf
The Fancourt Hotel & Country Club Estate has four Golf Courses to offer the golfing visitor. All the courses are renowned for their amazing year round condition and the attention to detail.

The Montagu & Outeniqua
The Montagu & Outeniqua are two world class parkland layouts rated in the top 10 South African courses. Both courses are very similar and present a true test of golf in aesthetically beautiful surroundings.

The Links
The Links Course opened in November 2000 and presents a very special and unique to South Africa, golfing experience. You really could believe you are playing golf on the Scottish Coast.

Bramble Hill
Bramble Hill is the fourth course on the estate, a Parkland course with Links features and offers a nice mix of the estate's other three courses. The course is a public 'Pay for Play' facility and has been designed to offer golfers of every level a Fancourt experience.
