The Milos Conference Center - George Eliopoulos is located at Adamas, the Island's main port, on a 10.000 sq. meters plot. It has two facilities for conference purposes: a central building A, whose main hall is of 320 conferees capacity and an adjacent building B, where, except the supporting installations, a multipurpose-hall is found. The main hall of the building A, where the stage is, can be divided, with movable partition, into two separate halls, one (A1) for 220 conferees and another (A2) for 100 conferees, so as to satisfy different conference requirements by offering the choice between one large conference hall or two smaller ones. If three conference meetings must be held simultaneously, the multipurpose-hall of building B, accommodating 50 conferees, can be used.
The Center's main hall (A1) has a balcony, with 100 persons capacity, where the central audiovisual system control panel and two simultaneous translation cabins are located.
When the Center hosts cultural events, the capacity of the main building may reach 450 persons.

Installations
The Milos Conference Center - George Eliopoulos has been designed to function throughout the year. It was constructed and equipped according to the most modem specifications. It consists of special designed conference halls, administration offices, a Pressroom, Internet-room and infirmary. The Center is fully air-conditioned and has fire-protection system. All the sections of the Center are accessible to disabled persons.
Its open-air parking lot can accommodate 100 cars. The security fencing adds to the conferees' sense of security.
Technical support
The most important condition for successfully conducting a conference is the high standards of its technical support. The Milos Conference Center - George Eiiopoulos fully meets this condition providing top-notch service to conferees with its state-of-the-art audiovisual and telecommunication facilities.

The Milos Conference Center - George Eliopoulos has brought to Milos a never known before cultural atmosphere. In a very short time, since 1st July 2000, the date of its inauguration, the Center has attracted a large number of events, such as conferences and meetings, as well as concerts, theatrical performances, etc,, which would not be possible to take place without its existence. Other events, that were taking place in the preexisting small halls, like school events and in general children festivals, events of local cultural associations, have been upgraded in the high esthetic and comfortable installations of the Center,
The plans of the Milos Conference Center - George Eliopoulos are much greater than the results that have already accomplished. It has been designed and has already started the organization of the Milos Conferences
The objective of the Milos Conferences is to create the conditions for interaction between academia and industry, and between different disciplines and to disseminate scientific and technological developments especially to young scientists.
The Milos Conferences consist of different conference series, each devoted to a general subject. The conferences are held normally every two or three years and they are open to all scientists, whether from academia or industry,
The governing body of the Milos Conferences is the Milos Conferences Council. President of the Council is Mrs. Kitty Kyriacopoulos, the founder of the Milos Conference Center - George Eliopoulos - and the members are from the academia and the business world.

The Milos Conference Center - George Eliopoulos was established by Mrs. Kitty Kyriacopoulos in her father's memory. It is housed in an old kaolin processing plant, which is overlooking the gulf of Milos and was restored for this purpose. The plant, built in 1925, is an excellent sample of its period's industrial architecture. Abandoned and derelict for many years it was falling apart before becoming the property of ORYMIL SA, a company belonging to Mrs. Kitty Kyriacopoulos. It was initially intended that, following its restoration which began 1994, to preserve the building as a sample of the Milos Industrial inheritance.
The final decision to utilize it as a Center for conferences, cultural and other events is solving one of the Island's perennial problems: the lack of modern large multipurpose buildings. This decision reflects also the commitment of Mrs. Kyriacopoulos to contribute to the development of Milos, The Conference Center plays a major role in further upgrading the Island's cultural life, since it hosts not only conferences, conventions and symposia, but theatrical, musical and other artistic events as well. At the same time the Center assists in attracting to the island, alternative high quality types of tourism.
