Historical Rooms
The Hotel de Crillon’s set of three reception rooms, classified as
historical monuments and with stunning views of Place de la Concorde, are to be
found on the first floor. Here we find, leading from one to the other, the
Batailles Room, the Aigles Room and the Marie-Antoinette Room with its terrace.
The Hotel de Crillon uses this historical space for major events such as
cocktail receptions, balls, weddings, and fashion shows.
The Maria Antoinette Room
History says that Marie-Antoinette came here to take her music lessons, and a Gobelins tapestry reproducing a drawing by Boucher evokes this by-gone era. The decor is charming, along with the exceptional large French-style terrace overlooking Place de la Concorde.
The Aigles Room
It is difficult to know where to look first in this exquisite salon, as everything is a feast for the eyes, whether it is the ceiling ornamented with gold-leaf eagles and four delicate Wedgewood medallions, the French parquet laid in “Hungary” style, or the bird’s-eye view of Paris and Place de la Concorde. The entire setting is quite simply exceptional.
The Batailles Room
This room, filled with natural light, offers a magnificent view over Place de
la Concorde.
Its name comes from the subjects depicted in the paintings which originally
decorated the walls, now replaced with a series of splendid mirrors.
Architectural features include a coffered ceiling, gold-leaf detailing and
Versailles parquet flooring. The room is classified as an historical
monument.
The Taittinger Room
Situated on the ground floor, lit by large French windows looking onto the
Cour d'Honneur, this beautifully serene room evokes the huge reception rooms of
traditional private houses.
An outstanding Aubusson tapestry dating from the end of the 18th century is an
eye-catching feature.
The Citronnier Room
With views of the Jardin d’Hiver and the Cour d’Honneur, the Citronnier is a cosy, intimate, warm room decorated with very light-coloured lemon-wood panelling. This is a haven of peace for small private meetings. Certain literary prize juries like to meet here to work on their selection of winners.
The Gabriel Room
Opposite the Cour Boissy, this full-length room has a theatrical feel to it, ready to stage any type of event: it is the perfect setting for conferences or receptions. The room features a floor built from Carrara marble, and is surveyed by a bust of Jacques-Ange Gabriel, the architect commissioned by Louis XV to design Place de la Concorde and the two columned palaces, of which the Hôtel de Crillon is one.
The Marly Room
The room has an extremely attractive layout, with one large room connecting to a smaller one where coffee breaks, small meetings or interviews can be held; small groups can relax in a calmer atmosphere, away from the noise of the party. Both areas are flooded with natural light from the Cour Boissy, which offers floral displays all year round.

Les Ambassadeus

Jean-Francois Piege is both a composer and a performer at Les Ambassadeurs,
serving up the best of French savoir-faire and the art of living, to which he
adds his own personal “art of being”.
Jean-Francois Piege has put together a classic French menu that takes a few
incursions into contemporary cuisine.
Using only the highest quality ingredients and drawing on his unique
savoir-faire, he offers “honest” dishes that reflect the changing seasons,
and shares his fascination for good food with the guests.
The wine steward David Biraud has received a number of awards, and uses his
sensitivity to create exciting pairings of dishes and wine.
Patrice Willems, the restaurant manager, looks attentively after his guests, to
perfect the “haute cuisine” of Jean-François Piege.
The work of Jean-Francois Piege reflects his preoccupation with
“orchestrating” his cuisine so that it corresponds perfectly with the
setting of the restaurant.
The hotel’s gastronomic restaurant was given a new look by the Parisian
interior designer, Sybille de Margerie. She has infused the former ballroom of
the Dukes of Crillonwith a modern warmth, without compromising its splendour.
Subtle lighting brings a beautiful glow to the Sienna marble.
The restaurant Les Ambassadeurs is closed on Sundays to welcome the Brunch, and
also on Mondays at lunchtime.
L`Obelisque
The restarant has became a choise gathering place for fashionable Parisians where politicians. and media personalities meet for more informal dining on the restaurant`s delectable cuisine, 40 seats.
The Piano Bar and Winter Garden

Of all the luxury hotels in Paris, the Hotel de Crillon is the richest in
history and culture.
In 1758, the eminent architect Jacques-Ange Gabriel drew up the plans for the
future “Place Louis XV”, including two palaces of nearly one hundred meters
in length, fronted by a Corinthian colonnade. One of the palaces was initially
home to the Duc d’Aumont, who decorated it sumptuously in the typical
French style of the period.
In 1788, the Comte de Crillon acquired it, and gave it his name. The Crillon
remained a family home until 1907, before being turned into a hotel in 1909. The
property remains in private hands and belongs to a famous French family, the
Taittingers.
The Hotel de Crillon offers its guests Paris in its entirety.
From the hotel’s terraces, guests can admire the Concorde bridge, completed in
1790, the Rue de Rivoli, which was started in 1802, the fountains in the square
and the Obelisk of Luxor, which dates from the time of Ramses II. Later, the
Eiffel Tower made its appearance, to be joined more recently by the Grande Arche
at La Defense and the Louvre pyramid.
Many historical and sightseeing spots are walking distance from the hotel. Our

Bernstein Suite
A place became a legend.
The famous composer frequently stayed in this apartment, and was delighted to
have it named after him. Situated on the fifth floor of the hotel, the suite has
the finest decor for an unforgettable stay. This is luxury without ostentation,
