After a fifteen-minute boat trip from central Stockholm you come ashore at Hotel J Nacka Strand. Those of you who have visited the American sailing paradise of Newport may perhaps have a slight sense of déjà vu. That’s not surprising, because the Restaurant is inspired by a summer house in Newport, and Hotel's name comes from the America’s Cup. It takes about 15 minutes by car from central Stockholm to Hotel J. If you want to take public transport, buses go from Slussen. You can take a boat from Nybrokajen.

From your table you can look out at a constantly changing scene. Every season of the year has its own charm at J. Summer is dominated by the passenger and pleasure boats on their way to and from the thousands of islands in Stockholm’s unique archipelago. When summer has left us we go indoors and light the fire. There you can enjoy your meal in the warmth of a cheerful blazing fire whilst the north wind whips the waters of the bay outside the windows. In time you can go outside again, find yourself a seat on the leeward side and let the spring sun warm your pale winter skin.

The chef de cuisine Sebastian Denell has previously worked at Fem Små Hus, participated in the start-up of Seglarrestaurangen at the scenic island Sandhamn, and has most recently worked at the prestigious Operakällaren.
